A new App to enhance communication for Expats

Great success for MyHealth

MyHealth is a new App to enhance communication for Expats. Indeed, Allianz Worldwide Care’s MyHealth app was downloaded over 60,000 times and used to submit more than 100,000 member claims, after 1 year, surpassing all original forecasts.

Allianz Worldwide Care provides this App to enhance communication with insured employees :

  • First app that can photograph invoices for submission of international medical claims – with no paper claim forms to complete
  • Access to policy documents, even offline
  • Find closest hospitals and get directions to them using GPS
  • Medical term translator and Pharmacy Aid

International health insurer Allianz Worldwide Care has launched a mobile app that allows its members to submit medical claims more quickly and easily than ever before. Using only the new MyHealth app, members simply provide a few key details about their claim, take a photo of their medical invoices and press ‘Submit’.

If they need to stop part way through submitting a claim, the MyHealth app will hold the details already entered, so that they can come back and complete it later.  All personal data entered while using the app is secured via encryption. Members can also use the app to track the status of previously submitted claims and check the details of claims that have already been paid.

Usefull Services

The MyHealth app has a number of other useful features designed specifically for its globally mobile client base.  Rather than having to search for their policy documents, the app stores a member’s latest policy documents. Then, members can check their cover at any time, even if they are not connected to the internet.

Assistance features such as ‘Find a hospital’ can be used to locate hospitals nearby, in whatever country the insured member happens to be in, while GPS technology has been harnessed to provide directions to the hospital selected. Likewise, there is fast access to local emergency services’ numbers on a country by country basis. The ‘Medical term translator’ is a useful tool that shows key medical terms in 17 different languages.

Members can use the app to call a medical professional and get advice on a wide-range of topics such as blood pressure, vaccinations and infectious diseases. Plus the ‘Pharmacy aid’ tool in the app provides the internationally-recognised names for a wide range of branded drugs so that a pharmacist can source and offer a local equivalent if a member is away from home or on holiday.

Allianz Worldwide Care’s MyHealth app is available for free download from the Apple App Store and Google Play. It can be used on a range of iPhone and Android smartphones and tablets. It is available in English, German, French, Spanish and Portuguese.
