The three levels of life and disability cover in France

$

Basic social security scheme

This scheme provides basic cover for events likely to result in loss of income, such as illness, maternity, accidents, unemployment or death. Benefits will be paid after a waiting period, generally three days for absence from work due to illness or accident.

$

Compulsory supplementary scheme

Employers are required by law to provide supplementary provident cover. The law of 19 January 1978 requires companies to guarantee a certain level of salary to employees with at least one year’s seniority in the event of sick leave or accident. In addition, the national collective agreement of March 1947 requires death cover for managerial staff.

$

Personalised needs assessment

The first step in taking out a group insurance policy is to assess the specific needs of your employees and their families. Ambrelia will help you analyse the amounts covered by compulsory schemes and define the additional cover required. Thanks to our expertise, we can find you the best deals from our insurance partners.
